1.1.About the device
FP09 is the third generation of portable biometric authentication handheld terminal, based on Android 6.0 operating system and support 4G network. The wide variety of functions in different application fields such as fingerprint identification, NFC, ticket printing and smart card reading, are integrated into the device. The 3.7V Lithium battery with 6000 mAh capacity is applied for powering the device. The Type-C port is provided to achieve data uploading and downloading. The device can be developed for further application according to the need by customer. The free SDK and Source code for testing and developing are provided when the purchase is completed.

1.3.Important safety notes
Before using the product, please ensure that following the general safety precautions of using electronic devices.
Use only recommended power source and battery.
Do not place the battery near or in direct flame.
To avoid the risk of injury, do not touch the interior of the product if it has been dropped or damaged.
Do not handle the power cord with wet hands.
Be careful not to subject the screen to strong impacts.
Be careful not to bump or push strongly on the camera lens.
Be careful not to press the fingerprint module too hard.

2.2.Appearance of the FP09
The dimension of the FP09 is shown in Fig. 1 with the perspective view. The Fig. 2 shows the detailed part names of the device.

Note: The three card slots provide for PSAM card, SIM card and TF card can be found after disassembling the wireless charging module.
2.3.The use of fingerprint module
It is important to place the finger in the proper way when enrol and verify the fingerprint with the fingerprint reader. Please put your fingerprint correctly as shown below in Fig. 3, and avoid wet finger.

2.4.The use of camera module
Each time using the camera module for photographing, please ensure that the view of target displays in the middle of the screen and facing directly to the camera. keeping the device for one or two seconds after pressing the capture button, the camera will auto-focus and take the picture.

2.5.The use of infrared code scanner
For reading the code, the important notes for completing the procedure are listed below:
1.Point the infrared scanner at the code.
2.Make sure the code is well-lit.
3.Adjust the distance between the infrared scanner and the code.
4.Hold the device steady while scanning.

2.6.The use of card reader
Before reading the card, please ensure the type of the card and then using the corresponding module for card reading. The device provides three different modules for reading the card, which are NFC module, chip card module and magnetic card module.
2.6.1.NFC module
For RFID card reading, please place the card close to the card reader module as shown in Fig. 6.

2.6.2.Magnetic & chip card reading
The two types of the card are read as shown in Fig. 7. Please ensure that using the correct direction of the card for reading.

2.7.The use of thermal printer
Before testing the printer, please ensure that the printing paper is installed already. The width of the printing paper that used for the device is 58 mm. The steps of installing the printing paper for the device are listing below with demo figures.
Open the cover of the printer as shown below

Insert the printing paper as shown below

Close the cover of the printer by pressing the cover back as shown below.
Software
This chapter will introduce how to use the app to test the different functions that provided by FP09. The FP09 device preinstalled a demo app for testing the function by customer. The name of the app is called Demo. The app includes several testing interfaces of different modules and a testing system for time attendance. The different module testing is described in 3.1 and the time attendance system (OnePass) is in 3.2.
3.1.Getting start with Demo on Android
For first time using the device, please find the power switch as shown below in Fig.10. Press the button and hold it until the screen is loading the boot animation, then release the button and wait the device to complete the initialization.

Find the Demo App as shown in Fig. 11 and tap it. The initial interface of the App is shown below in Fig. 12. The following subsections from
3.1.1 to 3.1.6 are introduced the testing of each module.

3.1.1.The test of fingerprint module
Tap in the initial interface to enter the Fingerprint Demo interface as shown in Fig. 13. For displaying the image of fingerprint, tap and make sure it is checked.

Press for enrolling the fingerprint. The enrolment requires the user to press the sensor twice for generating the fingerprint template. When there is a message indicating the generation succeeds, press and place the finger on the sensor to capture the fingerprint sample. It will match the sample with the enrolled template.
3.1.2.The test of NFC module
Tap in the initial interface to enter the NFC testing interface as shown in Fig. 14. Then place the contactless card close to the NFC module and the information of the card will display on the screen.
The information of the card:
ID: The ID of the card.
Type: The type of the card.
SectorCount: The number of sectors that the card has.
BlockCount: The number of blocks that the card has.
Size: The size of the card.

3.1.3.The test of IC (Chip) card reader
Tap in the initial interface to enter the IC card testing interface as shown in Fig. 15. Insert the chip card into the slot of the card reader and press the function button. The interface provides four buttons for different functions:
IC Reset: Initialize the card reader
IC Close: Stop reading the IC card
Clean: Clean the data stored in the card
SEND: Send the data to the card

3.1.4.The test of magnetic card reader
Tap in the initial interface to enter the magnetic card testing interface as shown in Fig. 16. Click the button at the bottom of the interface and then swipe the magnetic card via the card reader. The information of the magnetic card will display on the screen.

3.1.5.The test of printer
Tap in the initial interface to enter the printer testing interface as shown in Fig. 17. Insert the information of the user and click the button. The printer will print out the generated information of the user.
The list of information:
Number: the number that indicates the user ID.
Name: the name of the user.
Email: the email of the user.
Phone: the phone number of the user.
Intro: the brief introduction of the user.

3.1.6.The test of code scanner
Tap in the initial interface to enter the interface of testing the code scanner as shown in Fig. 18. For scanning the code, firstly click the button . Then press and hold the button while facing the code scanner to the code. The information of the code will display on the screen. Press the button to turn off the scanner after each scan.

3.2.OnePass demonstration
3.2.1.The initial interface of OnePass demo
Tap the icon to enter the OnePass system as shown in Fig.
19. The initial interface of the system is shown below in Fig. 20.

3.2.2.Finding the main menu
All the functions of using the App are listing in the main menu, click the button on the top-right corner which is shown in Fig. 20 with red circle and click the setting button as Fig. 21 shows below. In the login interface, please inset the initial password “1010” and press the Login button . The main menu interface is displayed when login successfully.

3.2.3.System setting
When press the System Settings button in the main menu, the four functions are displayed in Fig. 22.

The password that used for login the system can be changed when press the Edit Administrator . It is strongly recommended to change the login password for data security. The
Network Settings can set the network for the Internet service. The detailed information of the system will be shown when press the Device Type . The setting interface will go to the Android System Setting interface when the is pressed. The Fig. 23 shows the interfaces when each function is activated.

3.2.4.User enrolment
To enrol the user into the system, press the Users Information button in the main menu interface and find the Enrol button on the top-right corner shown on the left of Fig.24. The enrolment interface as shown on the right of Fig. 24 after press the Enrol button.

Insert the detail of the User for each data listed in the enrolment interface. Each type of data for enrolment is explained below:
ID: Several digits of numbers for identifying the user.
Name: The name of the user.
Type: The type of the user: Management or General.
Identify: Selecting the way for identification. The four ways provided by the app are Fingerprint, Smart Card, Barcode and Fingerprint Card. The costumer can choose all of them for identification.
Photo: Shooting a photo for the user.
Press the icon on the right and wait until the shooting interface is displayed as shown in Fig. 25.

Press for turning on the LED light, press again for turning off.
Press for capturing the photo when the target is ready. Press for cancelling the operation and return to previous interface.
Fingerprint One/Two: Capture the fingerprint of the user. Each user can record up to two different types of fingerprints. Press the icon on the right and reach the registration interface shown below. Following the instruction shows in the interface to complete fingerprint enrolment.
1D Barcode: Scanning the 1D Barcode.
Press the icon to activate the module for scanning the 1D barcode.
2D Barcode: Scanning the 2D Barcode.
Press the icon to activate the camera for scanning the 2D barcode. The scanning interface is similar to the interface of capturing photo, please refer to the introduction of Photo function for detail.
Card: Reading the smart cards.
Press the icon to activate the card reader module for card reading.
After inserting all the information, press the save button to complete the user enrolment. The enrolled user will be shown in list as User List in Fig. 24.
3.2.5.SIGN ON and SIGN OFF
The initial interface (Fig. 20) provides two buttons named SIGN ON and SIGN OFF below the map. The enrolled user can use these for recording attendance.
For SIGN ON, press and place the finger on the detecting area of the sensor. The brief information of the user with date and time will display on the screen as shown below when the fingerprint is matched. Nothing is displayed when the fingerprint can not match the records. Please try to press the sensor again. If there is still nothing to display on the screen, please make sure the user has completed the user enrolment step.
For SIGN OFF, press and place the finger on the detecting area of the sensor. The brief information of the user with date and time will display on the screen as shown below when the fingerprint is matched. Nothing is displayed when the fingerprint can not match the records. Please try to press the sensor again. If there is still nothing to display on the screen, please make sure the user has completed the user enrolment step.
3.2.6.Identification records reading
The Identification records are stored in the system. To read the records, please press the Identification Records button in the Main Menu (Fig. 21). For reading all the records, press when enter the interface shown on the left of Fig. 26. There are two methods for querying the records, by user ID or by user name. After typing the keyword in the type area, press and the relevant records are displayed as shown on the right of Fig. 26.

3.2.7.Data upload and download
The OnePass App provides the interface for uploading and downloading the data. There are many methods to achieve data transmission. The specific transmission method according to the different application of customer, needs to be developed by customer. The employee records, which means the user information, can be downloaded from and uploaded to the other device. The attendance records can be uploaded to the other device. The interface is shown below in Fig. 27.
