Unlike sensors in samrtphones that rely on the device's processor chip, the fingerprint module runs on its own embedded processor, reports the investor. The company said the new fingerprint module, the smallest in size with high energy efficiency, can be featured in any electronics, such as PCS, refrigerators,and eletric bikes that can be conected on the network. It can also be used as a security solution for safes and vaults. The module, measuring 17 milimeters by 17 milimeters, consumes 30 miliampere hours, according to the firm. "The solution, which offers easy application and usage, will help the biometric technology be more widely used in daily lives," said the company in a press release. "The comapny is currently in talks with home appliance makers for supply deals and will be able to show positive results," an official from the company said.
